Individual Income Tax Preparer

This position will be responsible for the preparation and advising of individual income tax returns.

Key Result:

Preparing federal and state income tax returns for individuals.

 
Key Objectives:
  • Knowledge of federal and state income tax laws
  • Providing tax structure knowledge, best practices, and more
  • Advising and recruiting new clients
  • Customer relationship management
  • Participates in business and community functions, and professional, charitable, or civic organizations
 
Key Responsibilities:

You will demonstrate full responsibility for:

  • Tax Returns
    • Prepare and file individual income tax returns
    • Advise clients on withholding, quarterly estimated tax payments, tax strategy, and more
    • Research new tax trends and regulations

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting field
  • Active PTIN
  • IRS Enrolled Agent or CPA Preferred
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop Pro and QuickBooks Online Versions Preferred
  • Interest in learning Nonprofit (990) and Trust (1041) returns Preferred

This position will be responsible for the office administrative duties of keeping the office running smoothly.

Key Result:

Provide exceptional customer service to all clients, current and prospective, and execute administrative tasks for all staff.

 
Key Objectives:

Manage and execute the day-to-day operations of keeping a full tax office running smoothly through scheduling, office tasks, and answering questions.

 
Key Responsibilities:

You will demonstrate full responsibility for:

  • Opening and closing procedures
  • Communication with fellow staff and clients
  • Scheduling for up to fifteen staff members
  • Scanning, printing, assembling, and filing
  • Other duties as assigned

This position will be responsible for the engagement and retention of business accounting clients. Financial statement preparation and overall tax & accounting advising is required.

Compensation:

This is an hourly position beginning at $15/hour.

 
Schedule:

Hours may vary based on current day work load. Estimated 3 hours daily scheduled around school schedule.
